What We are Offering

The Institute is offering up to three one-hour sessions (over the phone, via Zoom, or in-person) to staff working in NHS and social care settings. We will provide a secure setting (a strictly private and confidential space) in which people can begin to address the psychological impact of their recent and ongoing experience. We have also attached below some helpful mental health contacts and resources (links to various articles, guidance, podcasts, and videos). There is very good mental health support out there, and we can provide anyone who feels that they will require additional support with contact details of various mental healthcare providers, in both the public and the private sector.

Our Members

All Institute members providing this service are fully qualified psychoanalytic psychotherapists, experienced in working with the sort of feelings (both ordinary, natural, and quite healthy on the one hand, but also complex, intense, and often conflicted) which tend to be generated by traumatising experience, exposure to risk, and working under great pressure. All are registered with one or both of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

Register

Email vicechairniihr@gmail.com to register for the Service. Once you have registered your interest, one of our members will get back to you within five working days. Please note that the ready availability of a therapist will inevitably be impacted upon by the level of demand for this service. But we would encourage you to get in touch with us, if you feel that you could use some psychological help, and we will certainly do what we can to assist you in this.
